This page explains what happens to your name and photos when you use a StoryCam camera at someone's event.
When you join the event, you provide your name and a selfie to create your temporary event profile. You can decline the selfie and still use the camera. We also collect the photos you take during the event.
Your selfie is stored with your event profile so the event organiser can identify which guest submitted photographs. Your selfie is not included in the downloadable event photo collection. Your photos are brought together with everyone else's into one shared album for the event.
The event organiser, and anyone they choose to share the album with, can see your name and photos. Your selfie is only used by the organiser to identify who's who. It stays out of the downloadable album. StoryCam provides the camera and the technology behind it, but we don't use your name, selfie, or photos for our own purposes: no advertising, no selling your data, no training AI models on your photos.
Photos are kept for three months from the event date, then deleted.
Contact the person hosting the event you took photos at. It's their event, and they're the one who can see and manage the album.
